Popular Don Dodge has attractive hot blued finish. Don Dodge is among the greatest names in the horse industry. This Don Dodge designed snaffle is for the colt in training--the first bit to go in the colt's mouth. The "butted" rings allow cheek pressure to be spread over a wider area than conventional ring snaffles, reducing the incidence of sore, raw corners on the mouth. Mouth is a standard 5" width. Mouthpiece is is sweet stele with inlaid copper bars to promote moisture and sensitivity. 3/8” diameter. Jeremiah Watt has become famous not only for his steel and silver engraving, but also for the quality and feel of his bits. His bits will never pinch, move smoothly, and are perfectly weighted for the best action and feel. The recessed areas on all of the engraved bits have been hand darkened to better show off the pattern.
