Circle Y Flex-Lite Saddles:
Flexible for the Horse, Lightweight for the Rider

Saddles with flexible trees, such as Circle Y Flex Lite Saddles, have become quite popular in the last few years, indicating a demand by the public for a lighter weight, more athletic saddle that fits their horse. Circle Y Flex Lite saddles design gives the rider a flexible saddle with a traditional look and feel. The Circle Y Flex Lite saddle tree is created by bonding high density polyethylene plastic and leather together to give flexibility while retaining structural integrity. The Circle Y Flex Lite saddle tree is then sprayed with DURAhide for long lasting protection. The pommel and cantle are wooden for the rigidity necessary to keep the saddle tree from pinching the withers. Because of this, Circle Y Flex Lite saddles are not designed to flex outward. Instead, the Circle Y Flex Lite saddle tree is designed to flex with the movement of the horse’s shoulders and hips. When a horse turns or bends his body, a standard wooden saddle tree would remain rigid against the horse’s movements. The Circle Y Flex Lite saddle tree "gets out of the way."

Circle Y Flex Lite Saddles feature a ½” neoprene rubber as the bottom layer of the saddle skirt for shock absorbency. The seat jockey and fenders on Circle Y Flex Lite saddles are made from Circle Y’s patented Softee leather. Softee leather is created by adhering two thinner pieces of leather together to make leather of standard thickness and strength, but exceeding flexibility. Underneath your leg, the Softee leather makes Circle Y Flex Lite saddles feel like they are already broken in and helps minimize knee and ankle strain.

The overall design of the Circle Y Flex Lite Saddle tree seems to fit a wider range of animals. We have had excellent results with Circle Y Flex Lite saddles fitting standard and foundation style Quarter Horses, gaited breeds and even mules. Although not intended for roping events, Circle Y Flex Lite saddles can be used for most other activities or competition events. The benefits of Circle Y Flex Lite saddles can be seen, and felt, when using them trail riding, barrel racing, reining or team penning. Circle Y Flex Lite saddles are lighter, easier to handle and comfortable for both the horse and rider.
