Built just like our Classic Decker Pack Saddle, but with our new TrailMax Half-Breed in place of the Classic Canvas and Leather Half-Breed. The TrailMax Half-Breed is made of tough Textilene mesh with rubberized hog hair padding behind the boards; both materials allow air flow to the animal. The edges are bound and reinforced with 4-way nylon webbing. Pine boards help distribute the weight of the load across the animal's ribs.
All of our Decker Pack Saddles are built to last a lifetime of hard packing. We have chosen to use Wickett and Craig harness leather and top quality hardware. The durable construction and our special attention to craftsmanship make this pack saddle a favorite of the US Forest Service, park rangers, game wardens, outfitters and serious packers.
Our rolled breastcollar and rolled breeching prevent chafing and soring. We use roller buckles on the quarter straps for easy adjustment and the adjustable decker rigging allows you to place your cinch at several positions to best suit your pack stock. The tree is carved in the OP-Robinette style and fits both horses and mules.
