Hermann Oak Harness Leather Straps, 10 oz or 13 oz

We use the same high grade harness leather we use on our pack saddles for all of our leather strapping. Each of these Hermann Oak harness leather straps is then hand cut from the best part of the hide and edged.  Available in 10 oz (4 mm thick) or 13 oz (5.2mm thick) weight.  

Please note that these are cut when the we receive the order and are NON-RETURNABLE. We recommend that you purchase a single strap to make sure this is the leather you want prior to ordering large quantities.

We use only traditional Old World Hermann Oak harness leather for our straps, pack saddle rigging, breeching and breast collars. Why Hermann Oak? The Hermann Oak Leather Company uses only Prime Grade Heavy U.S. Native Steer Hides in their St. Louis tannery. They still use the finest natural tree bark in their tanning liquors for wonderful richness and texture. The leather is tanned until it is firm, strong, and tight-fibred. Their skilled technicians then hand-work each side for a smooth, consistent, even-colored piece of leather. From beginning to end our straps are sourced and cut in the USA.
