Built on McCall Saddlery’s proprietary Ultra Light Wade Tree, the McLite provides a strong, dependable foundation designed for demanding trail use. The 16"hardseat offers a secure feel, while the classic Wade design provides a close connection between horse and rider.

Why Choose a Wade Saddle?
Why Choose a Wade Saddle?
The Wade design features a strong horn, lower-profile pommel, and close-contact feel preferred by many working ranch and trail riders. The design provides a secure, balanced feel for riders who spend long hours in the saddle.
Advantage
- Less interference. Nothing catches your ropes, chaps, rain gear, or clothing.
- Comfort all day. Many riders feel less confined than in a swell-fork saddle.
- Better visibility. The low-profile front lets you see the horse's shoulders and the trail more easily.
This makes a Wade especially popular with:
- Ranch cowboys
- Outfitters
- Horse packers
- Mule riders
- Trail riders spending long hours in the saddle
Why outfitters often choose Wade saddles
Outfitters, guides, and mountain riders spend all day in rugged terrain. They value:
- Freedom to shift position.
- Easy mounting on hillsides.
- Less saddle bulk.
- Better balance.
- Comfortable all-day seat.
- Excellent rope handling.
- Simplicity and durability.
That's why you'll see Wade saddles throughout the Rocky Mountains, especially in places like Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, and Oregon.
