We have been making TrailMax large, scoped rifle scabbards for horseback hunters for over 30 years and recognize that what worked then does not necessarily work now. The new "Protector" hunting rifle scabbard is designed to fit today's large, scoped rifles while still not too large to hang comfortably on a saddle. We've found that this scabbard fits most of the rifles we've tried with long range scopes and up to a 28" barrel.

We have lined the gun scabbard with just enough closed cell foam padding to protect your rifle and scope without creating too much bulk. The padding also keeps the scabbard from collapsing underneath the attachment straps, making it much easier to remove your rifle while the scabbard is still strapped to the saddle. A flap with a side release buckle closure keeps the rifle secured while riding but is still easy to access one-handed.

The TrailMax Protector Rifle Scabbard is designed with an exterior storage pocket with hook-and-loop closure for extra cartridges.

 DURABLE PREMIUM MATERIALS - The TrailMax Protector Rifle Scabbard is constructed using high-density 5mm closed cell foam and shielded by a tough 600 denier polyester shell with PVC backing. This rifle scabbard provides maximum protection against inclement weather for extended periods.

 SECURE EASILY - Heavy-duty attachments straps with brass buckles allow you to secure the scabbard to any saddle or ATV/UTV.

 DIMENSIONS - The Protector Rifle Scabbard measures 44" LONG X 11.5" WIDE (at the widest point). It accommodates a rifle with a 28" barrel & 56mm scope with up to 1-1/2" turrets.
